A simple image but lovely nonetheless. I like how the edge of the lamp lines up with the edge of the roof. The fact that is electric makes it loose a little bit of it's charm, but still it's a keeper.

The only suggestion i would make is to tweek the levels a bit, it is a tad dark. Otherwise it is a fine image! I love the old world charm!!

I think I know what you mean. The lamp is great. But the lines on it connect the negative space of the sky and the window which makes the picture more busy. Perhaps a bit more visual separation? The angle on the light is pleasing too though. Things to watch for may be what frames your subject. :)

lovely old lamp; very well done. I would have took the shot so the window and lamp be not together but a little off of each other

Nice old world charm Pascale, I like it in B&W, it looks like the times it should be in. Maybe a little dark, but pulls the eyes into it. Eccellent. Lina

I like it! We have same lamps on Upper Town (old part of Zagreb). That is a part of architecture and it's very beautiful! Excellent shot!*****!

I think this would look nice in an antique sepia tone. If you could blur out the electric light somehow it really have distinct charm to it. Great composition, looks like it was a very difficult lighting situation.

Took me back some distance in time to when these street lamps were Gas, and were lit by a lamplighter. And the window next to it reminds me of 'knocker-up's who rapped with a long pole on bedroom windows for those who couldn't afford alarm-clocks! Sorry for rambling ... it's a great picture!

I like this - It makes me think of Victorian London, but its showing how times have moved on and the old gas lamps became electrified (of course, I have no idea if this WAS a victorian gas lamp, but it still makes me think of one ;) ).
