Description

Back to the ghost town again, (& the old cam again) On the hike up the hill to the wagon I posted a few days back -I passed by an old water tower climbed in and out- got stuck in it-lost my high heel- recovered- LOL and then found what you see in the shot - A beautiful hillside and then an old falling apart railing... And a power chord that was seemingly hidden behind the rail. The line of it...caught my eye... I think I took 100 shots at the Ghost town that day - many of you have seen them. This one was my personal favorite for unspoken reasons. Maybe I just liked the curve of that Calico canyon... but it think it was the power line that caught my eye and it lit up in the sun... and the colored hills were amazing -the rocks even sparkled in places like diamonds and gold.. ( think lots of it was fools gold).. I knew when i looked up at the hills why they named the town Calico....(to see it better look at my old wagon shot in my gallery) OH Hard to explain all the emotion of that day. SO this picture here-isn

Going hiking in high heels? By the way, it may be a technically old camera, it is the creativity that is important here. You managed to frame the image twice through your composition and in doing so maintains the viewers attention much longer. Great going here Kimmer, especially the story that goes with it.
