Description

- Yosemite National Park - Another from my Yosemite trip. I'll move on to other subjects soon, I promise. This mountain lake is at an altitude of around 9,000 feet... and crystal clear. Note that this photo was taken about two weeks before the first day of Summer, despite the ice on the lake. The road through the nearby Tioga Pass (9,945 feet) had only been cleared and opened to the public for a couple of weeks. Also, I didn't notice the birds huddled on the rock in the lake until reviewing the photos later. A lesson that sometimes as photographers we need to focus our eyes first and our cameras second. So we don't personally miss the beauty we try to capture.

The first thing that struck me about this photo was the sky... almost too blue... I really miss seeing mountains. Thank you for sharing this one, it's gorgeous!
