Description

She sat watching the little island just float there, high above the sea. Normally, Niif could just fly over and take a look, but that was why she was there. Her ability to fly and do the usual everyday magic she was used to had dwindled since leaving the Land of Fae. They said the Wizard at Land's End might be able to help her. *** I hate how my modern sensibilities creep into an innocent cleancut story. 20 years ago a scene with an old hermit/wizard inviting a cute fairy girl into his abode might have danger, but now, one thinks of molesters, lechers and other headline makers. Anyway, everyone here in this world lives happily ever after. *** tree made with xfrog, but the lower half of the trunk and the roots were made in ZBrush

Dave,I didn't think upon any of the nastyness of the world around me when I looked at this....I went into a land of fun and fantasy, and wondered how long it would take for the old man to float on over..lol I truly enjoy the trip this little fae(?) is taking since her first step toward independence. Fantastic image!! I REALLY like this one!!! Such great comosition, scale and story! And I agree, the world has become as cynical as I am, and that's a shame. Too bad there are so many "Real" monsters to spoil our fantasies! But then again, that's what's great about fantasy, we can escape lifes ugly truths for awhile! thanks for the ticket out of town! ;) Excellent image!

I don't know how you put these out so fast. It would take me at least a week to get all these little details and composition right. Once again - excellent work

This is fantastic, just my style! How do you make pictures so fast and so often? I hardly have time to make one a week!
