Description

A scene from the Larry Niven novel "Protector". Made this a while back, and lost the Belt mining singleship model when I moved computers.

Been a few decades since I read PROTECTOR. So the sphere is Phsstpok's ship? Cool!

Like other pictures in your gallery, you've captured that classic science fiction look. Excellent

Beautiful modelling, composition and lighting. Shame you lost the model. Would have been PERFECT if you could re-render with a slightly higher antialiasing level - there's a few jaggies, or is this because a bump texture wasn't hi-res enough?

I used to remember the name of the artist who painted the covers for Larry Niven, but who cares about him. I think you should take a shot at Larry's next cover art! (if he is still alive and kicking). OH! yes! I just remembered, Vincent Deffate, or something like that. Any way, WHY NOT? hasn't any of those publishers ever tried to recruit you?
