Description
"Halloween Soup is where evil pumpkins are born..."
Here is my contribution to the Still Life challenge of the Vue d'Esprit Forum. Since it is also October, it couldn't be something else than about pumpkins.
The pumpkins come from different places (free stuff here, 3d cafe, ...).
The scene is almost pure Vue d'Esprit. The only postwork was an equalization at the end in Photoshop.

This is very well done. I like the focus you set. I forget, all to often , to set a focal point, to make my images seem realistic. I like your choice of lighting and the scene set up. Nice work.

My thought is as it was on seeing the original. I really like the picture and the foreground blur - like in movies or on TV. Distance blur or depth of field? Whichever, I think you have used to very very good effect. Gonna go have some pumpkin pie.

In answer to tonyJ 's challenge, I ran a new render in higher settings (this one was about 20 hours). So.. here it is, with improved blur on the focus area.
