Description

Please be honest in your opinions. That is the only way we as artist know if we are heading in the right direction. Three POSER renders and alot of PhotoShop CS. This render was a real treat for me. The final came out like a the fantasy I have of having done the Savage Sword cover. The image is modeled after early BORIS, before all he could paint was tits and ass. James with MASSIVE morph, V3 & M3. Lots of FREEBIES, to numerous to type (I'm lazy)thanks to all for them.

Fantastic job! It very much looks and feels like a comic book. I love the blurred characters in the foreground and the evil eyes in the background. The only thing that doesn't really do it for me is Conan's face and hair. Maybe its just stylistic differences as to what I think Conan should look like. Keep up the good work! Jay

THe color scheme is spot on, and the camera tilt is a great touch. You might want to check the textures of the wall, it seems too blurred and low-res compared to the sharp textures of the torch flame. And Conan's chest looks a bit too smooth, a stronger definition of the pectorals and maybe some scars would improve that. The blurred ape-men in the foreground are fantastic. The reddish backlighting on Conan and the girl looks nice, but where is the light source? The lighting on Conan's left arm is spot on. Similar lighting on the girl maybe? Anyway, very cool image, I like it very much!

I'm sorry to say, I agree with svdl on the textures...HOWEVER, this is a comic book, and comic books aren't exact. This is a great work and the focal points and lighting off the weapons is great!!!
