Description


This shrine is on the highest peak of Mauna Kea (13,796 ft above sea level) as seen from a previous post "Top of the World" . You can see some gifts of Ti-leaf leis on this shrine. More pictures to come and an interesting find for HC Tedz. Then I will walk the walk on "RED HILL" . Aloha and thank you for viewing.

Aloha Anthony...aangus,,,At that altitude (4205.02 meters), everything is done in slow motion as the air is very thin. Yes, most of the walking areas are composed of red and black volcanic cinder rocks. On this shrine, there are added rocks from the sea and else where to symbolize that this sacred mountain reaches from sea to the steps of heaven for Hawaii Pacific. Thanks for asking...Aloha
