Description

Just multiple views of a basic spaceship model, some "tricked out" with texturing . . . PondMan1955 requested details on the spaceship design I've been using. It's not even what I had though I had modeled, but like much more than it is because of two texture tricks. 1) High reflective surfaces, even when simple, reflect lots of other items in the scene and thus make models look more complex. In distance space scenes what these surfaces reflect will be stars, etc, which will often look like windows/glints off extrenal equipment or an irregular surfaces, etc. 2) A cell or layered brick texture used as a surface normal (bump map for Poser/Daz folks) also fakes complexity. Okay PondMan, you caught, but these can be usful tricks, they are just not as good with closeups as the real thing and are not exact but impressionistic in nature. Comments welcome, Mcv
