This is a large scale, high poly model of the famous USS Yorktown aircraft carrier of World War II and the Battle of Midway. Originally modeled for Vue, I see a number of fine Poser, DAZ Studio and Carrara artists out there that hopefully will find this a unique model to add to their sea battle compositions.
I have weathered the paint of the ship and this can further be enhanced by simply adjusting the materials. The landing and launch poles on the sides during port activities can simply be removed for battle scenes by making them transparent in the material room. I have adjusted some of the textures, like the front end launch deck curl since these renders were made.
IMPORTANT: As a large model I have created a Camera Setup to make it easy to load the carrier in your initial setup. Before loading the carrier, load the camera first. This will move the camera back on your stage where you will then see the carrier in full when loaded and eliminate the need to move it back in space to see it.
