While fantasy swords may look amazing, there's something to be said for the elegance and simplicity of their real-world counterparts (though realistic swords can certainly be used in fantasy!). The 5 sword props in this package are all based on actual swords that date from the early to late 12th century. The names given here are simply for identification purposes, and include:
-Latta: approximately 99 cm long, this sword features a ridged grip. Its name is the Italian
word for "tin".
-Siena: named after the city in Italy where the original resides, this sword is also about 99 cm
long, with a slim blade.
-Tera: 111 cm in length and featuring an octagonal pommel and decorative twisted guard, this
sword's name is the anglicized version of the Finnish word for "blade".
-Vand: 109 cm long, this sword gets its name from its droplet-shaped pommel; "vand" is Danish
for "water".
-Wallace: A highly decorative sword featuring a flower pommel and octagonal guard, this sword is
approximately 102 cm long.
Each sword comes in a standalone version, and as a smart-prop to M4 and V4's hands; in all, there are 25 props. 2 hand poses each for M4 and V4 are also included, and with some adjustments, these props should be usable with any humanoid figure. There are 6 MATs to change the color of the grips; these MAT poses are compatible with other sword props in the Historical European Swords line (at least one figure must be present in the scene to apply MAT poses to props).
*DAZ users: these swords will load in DAZ Studio, but you must apply DAZ-compatible materials manually.
