The litter is a one of most common historical wheelless vehicles, basicaly it is type of human-powered transport, used for the transport of persons. Our model is example of roman litter known mostly as lectica, personal vehicle carried by two or four porters and forming comfortable couch with or without canopy often covered by fabric curtains. Lectica or sella often carried members of the imperial family, but also other dignitaries and other members of the rich elite.
