The Easy Environments series for Daz Studio and Poser combines high-res (12000x6000) SkySpheres/HDRIs with terrain geometry.
The terrain makes sure your character has something to stand on, while the SkySphere/HDRI provides full scene coverage and great vistas.
ExoPlanet IV is a classic desert style planet, almost entirely covered in sand, with two small rocky areas in the distance.
The dunes geometry features three track (footprint) morphs for you to dial in/out. Two along the ridge which end with a small gap to each other at the center, and one leading up/down the side.
The sand-drifts seen in some of the preview renders are three props (horizontal drifts, vertical drifts, north/south-end drifts).
How good they look depends on the camera angle, sometimes using all three looks fine, other times you might want to hide them.
The file formats are native .DUF for Daz Studio 3Delight and Iray, and .PP2 for Poser.
Lighting is included for all versions (Iray through the HDR environment, 3Delight parented to the skysphere, Poser as separate preload).
