for Photoshop CS5 and later versions and can be used on a PC or a MAC.
This set is geared towards manga artists to help build out storyboards quicker so they have more time to work on the story and characters.
The goal is to reduce the amount of time spent in the studio and to get your work to the publisher and printer faster!
Product name: Background screentones for manga, anime and comics.
These Photoshop brushes were created with the beginner and advanced manga artist in mind.
Whether you work solely in digital format or in traditional format, these brushes will help you to quickly build your storyboards easier
making the formatting part of the process less intensive and easier to complete so you can spend more time on the good stuff, the actual story!
You can mix and match to your hearts content, adjusting the size to work with depending on the size of the paper/book or art board you will
be using i.e. A3, A5, 5x8, 6x9, 6x10, etc.
*THE BEST PART? you can use these even if you only work on paper. Yep, that's right! No more running out to buy more packages of screentones or scramble to order! You don't need to buy in bulk or packaged sets where you may never even use some of the screentones you buy! Just choose the one you like from the brush set, apply it to whatever size paper you need (if you need a lot or just a little bit) and then literally just print it out on your printer. NO MORE WASTE! print out the amount and tones you need only. How great is that!?
You can change how dark they are, your imagination is the limit on how to use them! The best part of digital screentones in brush format?
No more having to run out and buy screentone packs in the store! If you are working in traditions paper format, all you have to do is choose the screentones you want to use, and then print out however much you need of it! These can be used in digital content as well as traditional when simply printed out.
This manga starter pack is part of a series which will allow artists to quickly build stories with people, nature scenes, urban scenes, sky and space.
As a heads up regarding the photoshop brushes: If you use GIMP, which is a free program like photoshop, you CAN use .abr files. I looked into it for you, go to my bio page for the link and read how to do it. It's pretty simple. You used to not be able to use .abr files in GIMP but that has recently changed and become easier to do. So your program of choice to use the brushes has now expanded! ENJOY!
