Includes two scripts to create the six various formations and arrangements you need. These Daz Scripts help you create formations for large groups of characters/props within the scene for your artwork or animations. With these scripts, you can form up your troops, vehicles, animals and other props quickly and easily with real-time viewport updating. It's as simple as selecting the desired nodes and running the desired Formation-X script. Make adjustments to various parameters and see it happen immediately onscreen.
* Formation-X Battle Lines
- Formation 1, Flying V: This is the classic "V" shaped formation used for flying machines like aircraft and spaceships, but works equally well for animals like geese and ducks. Whether flying in the air or setting on the ground, your characters and props will look great in this formation. You can set the basis for all spacing and step adjustments to the first, last, smallest or largest selection. Spacing between selections is adjustable to varying distances. The elevation of rows from second to last can be adjusted to varying heights. The angle of the v-shape can be changed to sweep forward or backward in the group.
- Formation 2, Rows: This formation type uses the classic "line" or "column" row types and is perfect for lineups of characters and vehicles. You can use this formation for props going down a path in a straight line or staggered; for characters on a stage or bleachers with the step function; or for cars running in a race on the speedway. You can set the basis for spacing, adjust the space between nodes, adjust the stagger of nodes, and finish it a step height if needed.
- Formation 3, Marching: This is the classic "Marching" formation used for large groups of characters or props and perfect for military troops and celebration parades. You can set the basis for all spacing, choose the numbers of columns, set the spacing for width and depth, and set the step height as required for the following rows.
* Formation-X Large Groups
- Formation 4, Bowling Pin: This is the classic triangle shape you see in bowling alleys for the pin setup. Our version has expanded upon this by continuing to grow the triangle to match the number of nodes selected. Just for some fun, how about a game of gnome bowling.
- Formation 5, Circle: This formation type uses the classic "surround" a center point with characters, vehicles, or other props. It can be used for things like wedding dances, or being surrounded by an enemy or predator.
- Formation 6, Diamond: This type is the classic hollow diamond formation. It can be used for a fleet of support ships surrounding a battleship or aircraft carrier; an assortment of escorts accompanying the supreme commander; or a marching band on the playing field.
