On the battlefield, or in the needs for aquiring secret intelligence, devices and aids were used to enable sentient individuals to enhance their sight and hearing by being able to locate an approaching enemy, eavesdrop on distant conversations, and notice details that others would no doubt miss. For this purpose, an original multi-purpose helmet was developed, equipped with advanced acoustic and optical sensors, which could be adapted to current needs.
