This set was slightly updated in January 2021 to divide the Birds of Prey (Order Falconiformes) into two separate orders; Birds of Prey1 (Order Falconiformes) and Birds of Prey2 (Order Accipitriformes).
This is a mini-set. It is one-third of the content from "Songbird Remix Birds of Prey Volume 1: Kestrels, Hobbys & Falcons, and Falcons". It has been specifically designed for those who only want some of the birds offered in the full set or are on a budget. The other two mini-sets to complete the full volume are: Songbird ReMix Birds of Prey Vol 1 Mini-Set - Hobbys & Falcons and Songbird ReMix Birds of Prey Vol 1 Mini-Set - Kestrels. Purchasing each mini-set individually will be slightly more expensive than purchasing the complete, full set.
This mini-set includes 6 birds in the Falcon family.
Falcons are one of the most successful evolutionary groups dating their lineage back to the Miocene-Pliocene boundary (about 2.4-8 million years ago). Falcons have exceptional powers of vision with their visual acuity measured at 2.6 times that of a normal human and are amongst the most intelligent of birds; on par with corvids. They are the fastest creature on the planet with Peregrine Falcons clocked at over 200mph (320km/h).
Throughout history, culture and myth, Falcons have symbolized superiority, spirit, light, freedom and aspiration. The Falcon is an emblem for success, victory and rising above a situation. Egyptian Gods, Ra and Horus, both had falcon heads.
There are two versions of this set for native support in Poser and DAZ Studio. Materials have been tuned to support Iray, 3Delight, Superfly and Firefly renderers.
