Always wanted to be able to save the Dynamic Controls Data as a Simulation pre-set? Now you can. If
you know how the cloth room is working and if you use the Dynamic control to set up how your
clothing is simulating then those scripts are for you. The package contains two scripts.
The first called SimDataSaver
This script will save simulation data as pre-set for a clothing. It will be stored as a material MC6 file
and can be stored in the material or in the clothing/prop library. It will only contain the simulation
data and when used on a clothing that is already having a texture applied it will not change the
texture.
To use it you will need to create a simulation in the cloth room for your Dynamic cloth. The script will
test if a simulation for this clothing exists. If not, the program will quit. If a simulation exists for your
clothing, then the script will ask you to select your Dynamic clothing, the name of the Simulation data
and the Folder where you want to save it.
The second called AdvancedSimDataSaver
This script will do the same as the firs one but will also add the texture data you have on your
clothing. This means that you will have to add the texture on your Dynamic cloth and set up the
Dynamic Controls that this specific texture should have before running the script. If you have a
material texture that is a Heavy Leather and another that is a Silk you can now run the script for each
of those textures set with a different Simulation setting so that next time you load this texture the
according SimulationData are loaded with the texture.
The Generated files will be in MC6 format and can be feely distributed so that if you are a vendor,
you can include those files in your product. This will make Dynamic clothing easier for your customer
and they will also work very well if you use the EasySimulationScriptGenerator that I have in my store
here at Renderosity
