Starscape Helmsmen are a unique and highly specialized species known for their symbiotic relationships with massive biomechanical starships. These beings are deeply integrated with their vessels, often serving as the central nervous system, controlling navigation and various ship functions with unparalleled precision and efficiency. Starscape Helmsmen are revered for their innate ability to interface with complex technology, allowing them to guide their starships through the most treacherous regions of space with ease. The helmsman is assisted by a SMD (Systems Maintenance Drone). SMDs inhabit the living starships known as Behemoths which Starscape Helmsmen operate. They are vital to the constant maintenance, day to day repairs, communication, and security of Behemoths.
