Robbers are usually depicted in the Czech folk environment as good-hearted, sometimes even clumsy elderly men, falling into the category of gallant robbers. Sometimes they are war veterans, other times runaway serfs, adventurers, revolting townspeople and the like. Their premise is often to take from the rich (because the poor have nothing) and to give to the poor or to themselves. They usually live in caves or dilapidated mills, castle ruins and other similar places. One of the most famous fairy-tale Czech robbers, whose reputation has penetrated to the surrounding foreign countries, is the cobbler Rumcajs from Jičín, who, in defiance of the authorities, moved from the city to the Řaholec forest, from where he raided evil feudal lords. However, our current model is inspired not only by these fairy-tale good guys, but also by real historical robbers who in the 18th and 19th centuries appeared in various places of the former Kingdom of Bohemia and robbed Forman wagons, travelers, pilgrims in short, whoever they came across. our today's attire is suitable for historical scenes as well as fantasy or fairy-tale renders.
