The Grass Hopper Mech got its name from its long Comsat Antennae on the top of the swivel head that contains all the coms and targeting equipment and software along with the mech`s ability to literally leap off the ground using its powerful less that are also what propels it forward in a standard walking or running motion should terrain be nice and flat to allow such movement. The Hopper1 has a swivel torso allowing it to quickly spin and acquire targets and easily destroy them before the target even knew what happened. The Hopper1`s main purpose is support for the LX-1 ground warrior mech released earlier by Xero-Technologies. Hopper1 can easily engage infantry, small to medium armored vehicles as well as any air target it acquires. The feet on the Hopper1 allow for stability when launching from the ground, coming down to land, or for support should the mech need to `lean backwards` to acquire an air target.
