About fractalartist01
Somewhat new to the web, I started out on my first PC by just playing in my MSN Paintbox and making a few fractals cause I was bored from online shopping. I quickly got hooked!
I have worked as a licensed makeup-artist/trainer for over 30 years. Understanding color has always sort of been easy and natural for me. Certified in both color-analysis and image-consulting, I am a mother of two sons, one grandson, one granddaughter, 2 wonderful kittys, and have also worked in the past as a solo vocalist. My late father and his mother were both commercial artists so as a kid, I was always exposed to the arts! Some might call me a 'late-bloomer' to the digital-art world. But I was very busy! I got married at age 19, and the first half of my life has been devoted to almost 40 years of marriage and raising our two sons...
But I did win my first coloring contest when I was just six years old!It was only when I began to have some free time for myself (after the kids were out of school) that I discovered my sons' PC and the web-and eventually, began to dabble in digital art. My family will tell you that I am definitely an 'addict'...preferring to paint over almost any and everything else. (except perhaps reading a good e-book!) lol I never tire trying new things in Photoshop. My desk chair is well-worn!
It has taken a several years to finish as many classes in web design, XHTML, CSS, Photoshop, PSP, and Digital Scrap booking as I can find online! Revealing my art work to others was a slow process for me since I'm a perfectionist. (which can be both a blessing & a curse) Most of what I know about Photoshop has been an ongoing process of self-teaching/experimenting/trial & error. After finishing my coding classes, I realized that I am a true "right-brainer" (creative person) and much prefer designing artist resource tools and painting over the boring lol administrative type tasks of generating and maintaining a commercial website. (and coding) So I made the decision to start out by working as a broker/partner with others for a while (till I decide if I ever want to have my own commercial site) I was a good design resource customer at Renderosity and had always enjoyed myself whenever I came to visit!
At the moment, I am working as a moderately successful vendor for Renderosity and several other online stores that feature digital scrap booking and art resource tools. Some of my best resources for digital artists are my Photoshop Layer Styles and am probably best known for my gem/jewelry/bling styles and creations. I also offer some texture and jewel packs. Along with Seamless background overlays and brushes. My plan is to grow as a digital resource artist and perhaps venture into the 3D world...someday. But there are still so many things on my to do list that I want to create in 2D. I still have much learning and growing to do as an artist! When the time comes that I can't learn anymore, I will be dead. :)
And if you haven't guessed yet-the name of my business when I was a makeup artist/cosmetics manager and image consultant has always been:
Color Palette Designs
so, when I began selling digital art resources, I didn't see
any need to change the name. :)
