Saltasaurus loricatus is a genus of titanosaurid sauropod dinosaur of the Late Cretaceous Period, about 83 to 79 million years ago, north-west Argentina. It had an estimated length of 12 meters (39 feet) and a mass of 8 tons. Contemporary predator was Abelisaurus.
