Begun in the 20's the Art Deco movement combined many different influences including ancient Egyptian and Aztec art as well as Cubism, Futurism, and Modernism. As a design style Art Deco stretched from architecture to jewelry, advertising and pure arts like painting, sculpture, and film. Exemplified by symmetrical clean lines and modern materials like aluminum, steel, chrome, bakelite and materials like exotic woods, zebra skin and shark skin leathers.
