Prestosuchus chiniquensis is an extinct genus of rauisuchian archosaur. It lived in Brazil of the Late Triassic Period (230 million years ago). Possibly it reached lengths of nearly 6 meters (19,6 feet). Prestosuchus was an ambush predator and may have hunted smaller animals like Hyperodapedon. Its closest relatives are Saurosuchus and Postosuchus.
