During a recent online shopping trip, I came across a gem that I had never seen before: MYSTIC TOPAZ
I was mesmerized by the variety and different combinations of rainbow colors and kaleidoscope shapes contained inside these crystal clear-based topaz stones! After admiring page after page of these colorful faceted gems, I became determined to create a layer styles set which was inspired by these hybrid stones. Many seemed to even have an iridescent quality to them. This set is my digital attempt to mimic their colorful beauty.
Lots of clear candy-colored rainbows, gradients and faceting went into the creation of this new set of 24 Layer Styles-designed to be used in Photoshop 7 & Above. And even though I have included lots of examples of different ways to use these styles on the product example pages that follow, I am certain you will continue to be inspired to make new creations with your own designs!
Because these styles are created with seamless patterns and can be rescaled easily, you will be able to use them for many of your more fancy gems, jewels, frames, borders, etc.; both for the web and for printing. Combine with a few gold, silver or colored metallic gem settings and you will have all the ingredients you need to create some beautifully-blinged designs!
