Essential Materials 01 is a robust resource for content creators and other artists. Artists can use the adjustable shading properties in combination with their own maps and other nodes to create a wide array of high quality materials. These materials can help you make anything from car paint to house paint, from windows to walls, and from armor to latex. They're designed to look great alongside advanced skin shaders such as bagginsbill's VSS PR3 and PR4 and Snarlygribbly's EZSkin, and work with Poser Pro render GC. Each type of material has a material GC version so that all Poser users can take advantage of the benefits of gamma correction . Content creators can use the included scripts to create customized material collections and mat poses for both commercial products and projects. Though the materials are optimized for use with either render or material-based gamma correction, they have also been tested using regular workflow and Vex Lights, 4blueyes' IBL Brights, and Synthetic's Proluma 2 light sets. They perform consistently and realistically in a wide variety of lighting situations and workflows.
Each material contains organized and labeled set of map and parameter nodes to ease customization. An extensive HTML manual with a custom interface describing their use is included to provide a solid reference for applying, customizing, and packaging materials.
This version uses the new material features introduced by Poser 9, such as true subsurface scattering (SSS). All the materials use nodes specific to Poser 9 and higher. Please DO NOT buy this version if you do not have Poser 9. If you are interested in materials that use work in previous versions, please see the P7+ version of this set.
