Archaeopteris is an extinct genus of tree-like plants with fern-like leaves.Tthis tree is found from the Upper Devonian to Lower Carboniferous strata (385 to 318 million years ago), and has a global distribution.Archaeopteris is one of the earliest known tree, it had characteristics of woody trees and herbaceous ferns. They grew up to 10 m in height. Set contains 11 plants.
