Our Renderosity Artist of the Month for October 2021 is Detniat. A member since 2007, Detniat has built a gallery filled with colorful and bold women characters with wonderful fashion and poses. She has a real personal style which we find (and the many Renderosity members who voted for her) charming. Detniat uses DAZ Studio as a way of expressing herself and creating art. She loves to draw and create. Congratulations to Detniat on being voted the October Artist of the Month.

Renderosity: Tell us about your background. Who is Detniat?
CDetniat: My name is Elizabeth Walsh and I go by Detniat here on Renderosity. I’ve been using Daz Studio for several years and before that I used Poser. I enjoy using DS as it allows me to express myself and my artistic side.
You have such a gift for color and mood in your gallery images. Not to mention your great fashion sense. Did you train yourself or did you learn formally about these things? And why DAZ Studio?
Detniat: I mostly trained myself to use DS (and Poser before that). I had gone back to school and taken a few drawing classes which helped me learn how to frame up an image. I’d love to take more drawing classes in the future. I chose Daz Studio because of its ease of use and user base. If ever there’s something I’m not sure how to do, I can find tutorials to explain it to me.
Detniat: Thank you for the nice comment about Selkie Hair. It’s a wonderful hair product. I wanted to show it on a male model as I have a particular fondness of long hair on males :) I often feel like I don’t work enough with male models so when the opportunity presents itself, I try to make something nice.
Detniat: I love Renderosity. I’ve been a member for a long time and I’m kind of a hermit, I keep to myself. But I love that Renderosity has given us a community here as well as a fantastic marketplace. I’m really glad to be a member here!
