Our artist of the month for May 2022 is the fractal artist and photographer jmb007. He hails from France and has been a member of Renderosity since 2007. JMB has over 300 followers at Renderosity. It's easy to see why: his work is expressive and quite original. Fractal art is a balance between coding and feeling: jmb007 is a master of both.
jmb007 answered questions for us in French. We translated the into English for this interview. Thanks to you, JMB for talking with us.
You have such a mastery of fractal art: how did you get started and what interests you in such an abstract art form?
jmb007: I will answer in French, it will be easier

What tools do you use to create fractals?
jmb007: apophysis especially, and also ultra fractal and fractal explorer
You have so many great creations in your gallery, one of my favorites is le randonneur : What does that word mean in English and how did you create this beautiful poetic image?
jmb007: le randonneur is "hiker" in English, each image is made in several stages, the two main ones being the shape and the color which depend on my mood at the moment
Any advice for those who want to learn how to create fractals?
jmb007: be patient, and take a good look at other people's paintings so as not to start from nothing
