Tempesta3D is a top-selling, exclusive vendor at Renderosity. She has over 1,300 followers who adore her original characters, poses, and expressions. She also creates props, clothing, add-ons, and accessories that are carefully crafted and unique. No wonder she is a top seller! Tempesta3D is having a big sale starting Thursday, November 18th thru 11:59 pm (CST) on Monday, November 21st.
Tempesta3D took time to talk with us about her becoming a vendor, how she decides on new products, the tools she uses to create with, and sage advice for new vendors just starting out. Thanks, Tempesta3D, and congratulations on being chosen Vendor of the Month for November 2022.
Why did you decide to become a vendor at Renderosity and what is it that makes you so successful?
Tempesta3D: The first reason I decided to be a vendor at Renderosity was the friendly community I found when I started as an artist. I always felt encouraged and never judged harshly even when I could barely turn my pc on, let alone use a 3d program!
As a content creator, this never changed. I feel like both fellow vendors and the entire artist community blend together in harmony. A major plus was finding a true family here among the extra patient Admins and my amazing sisters Andy, Jenn, and Rena who always overwork to make all of us happy.
Successful me? I always feel like I still have so much to learn and I am humbled by the immense talents here. I am still pinching myself when artists like what I do.
What tools do you use to create?
Tempesta3D: The programs I cannot live without are Poser and Daz, I spend hours every day using my beloved Zbrush, and other essentials are Corel and Blacksmith3d. There is another bazillion of programs, but my very first tool is an old school paper notebook where I write down ideas, sketches, drawings, and sometimes cats. Yeah, I always put cats everywhere :-D
Can I put music as one of my essential tools? Music is always present in my life.
How do you decide on new products for your store?
Tempesta3D: Unfortunately, the ideas often come one after another, and I must truly pace myself or people will really get tired of me and my silly creations. I am the luckiest girl on this mad planet as I have by my side the most patient, adorable “partner in crime” who is a phenomenal fantasy/comics writer and helps me with constant inspiration and suffers in silence with all my cussing when the programs freeze.
The images of what I want to do next are often in a face I see on the streets, in my own imagination and desires, in my passionate soul, and in the deepest fears of my heart.
What are some of your favorite items in your store?
Tempesta3D: As an outcast myself, I love the meek and the weird ones, those who people always ignore are the ones that attract me the most, like those scruffy cats you find hiding in a corner on a rainy day. Again cats, I know… So out of my hat, I would say Beatriz with her big innocent eyes, Splash and Syrena because I adore the sea. Stan, Blanche, and Dorotea because they age gracefully and to me, they are true badasses. My all-time favorite will always be Dylan, is it silly to have a crush on a 3d puppet?
Also, I like to create powerful sexy women, the sensuality of the female body is feared and adored by people and I feel sort of liberating and empowering creating them. As a shy person, I love to express these feelings that are natural and too often wrongly treated by society like a dirty taboo.
So I will say, embrace this wonderful journey and let your mind go wild!
