Renderosity Free Stuff: Science-Fiction

The Free Stuff section at Renderosity is a gold mine of models, textures, materials, clothing, hair, backgrounds, and much more. Artists and creators are very generous with their work and we are so grateful to them. In this article, we are looking at 9 items from the Free Stuff section, but with a science-fiction theme.

A Console with instruments, signal lights, switch boards etc. and a big screen as an item for the next (steampunk/retro) SiFi render. The item is till now a static prop, intended to use as a background decoration. If there are problems, please report to : atoxic@freenet.de
Science Fantasy Flier parented Poser props. Removable cover and cannons. OBJ versions of the major parts are provided but those users will have to tweak the models as needed given their own choice of software. Be sure to check out the material room settings which will let you change textures for a variety of looks. Even change the type of propulsion or remove the fore-bridge.
In the near future robots are in every home and business, however they are still classed as lower citizens by human standards. Patty the Cybot wishes to change this and have equal rights for cybernetic lifeforms. Choose a body part then use the pivot joints provided to pose her limbs and head. Somewhere in the far reaches of space lies a planet much like this one. Its terrain is volatile and pools of acidic liquid rise from its muddy depths. Life although can survive this hostile environment, however you can't without a space suit :) Don't forget to load the BUMP map files in the surfaces TAB and adjust them to your liking for more detailed renders. To load in DAZ go to Scenes/Shredder/Alien_Environment

Another experiment on modelling, this time with a sci fi rifle rather than something steampunk. Inspired somewhat by guns from Borderlands, I made this cartoonish Laser Rifle. It’s fully rigged as well: Trigger moves, levers move, rigged cartridge and the stock too. This time you can use it anywhere! Textures come included, and it’s in Dae format, meaning not exclusive to blender. I am generous like that.
This outfit was made in conjuction with my new Sci-Fi Pose & Prop pack, that you'll find attached. What's inside? - Bodysuit (4k Textures) - Belt (2k Textures) - Boots (2k Textures) - Knee & Shinpads (2k Textures) (smartpropped Blaster & pose come from our product yoou find attached and are not included here.)
It's always a good idea to have a robot at your side in the Sci-Fi world, now you can with BB8 from Star Wars! Built like the original with separately parented head and body so that they're capable of moving independently. You can load either a clean or dirty version of the bot with seperate sets of high quality textures. May the force be with you!
