As the summer heat bakes the northern hemisphere, Renderosity’s Vendor of the Month for July 2024, santuziy78, also known as Alex, offers up some cool content for purchase by community members.
Now 45 years old, the former engineer resigned from his position to fully dedicate himself to 3D activities. Since 2010, he has been creating and selling 3D content as a hobby, but in 2018, he made it a full-time occupation.
“My initial exposure to computer graphics occurred through my interest in video games in the early 1990s, but interest in digital art emerged much later. I had a desire to learn how to create artistic works and was in search of a program suitable for artists,” he said. This soon led him to explore the Poser and Daz Studio software programs.
When asked to describe the style in which he works, he said it was difficult to do because he combines elements of various genres, including mostly romance and everyday life.
Renderosity: Why did you decide to become a Renderosity vendor?
Santuziy78: I became aware of this possibility through vendors who had already worked with Renderosity and decided to give it a try as well.
Renderosity: What is the typical workflow on a new project and tell us your favorite tools?
Santuziy78: The process begins with choosing the product theme, searching for the necessary references. Then modeling and transferring the finished models to Daz Studio and Poser. Creating a set of poses for this product.
Renderosity: What are among your favorite creations to produce?
Santuziy78: Probably this is the STZ Office and the STZ Kitchen. I spent a lot of time and effort creating these interiors, but I really like the result.
Renderosity: What do you love about producing digital art?
Santuziy78: I have never given it much thought. I simply enjoy creative work.
Renderosity: Are there other artists that influence your work, and do you have a close mentor?
Santuziy78: I can't name any particular artist who influences my work. However, depending on which project I'm working on, I may actually be inspired by the work of some artists and photographers. I don't have a mentor.
Renderosity: How has Renderosity made a difference in your growth as an artist/vendor?
Santuziy78: Without Renderosity, it is likely that I would not have become involved in 3D art at all. Therefore, Renderosity has significantly impacted my growth as an artist and vendor.
I have had the opportunity to engage in creative work for many years and generate income from my favorite work.
Renderosity: What future plans do you have for your art career? What kind of career goals do you have in digital art?
Santuziy78: Unfortunately, I have been experiencing a period of creative block recently. Due to this, there have been fewer new ideas, and some of the themes in my new work have been repeated. As a result, it has become more challenging to surprise with a new product, which is why I have occasionally taken a break from work. However, at the moment, I am continuing to work and seek out new directions that will interest other users.
Renderosity: What advice do you have for someone who wants to become an artist/vendor?
Santuziy78: See what is in demand and think about what you could create that would be interesting. Work should be enjoyable, and if you produce quality products, buyers are more likely to notice them.
Renderosity: What last comments or thoughts do you have for us? Advice for new artists?
Santuziy78: Renderosity is an amazing place where a large number of interesting and talented people gather. I would like to express my gratitude to all the buyers for their support. A big thanks goes out to the entire Renderosity team. I am very pleased to be working with you and hope that this collaboration will continue for a long time.
