Contest Rules:

Contest Theme is "The Elements" - all entries must contain a minimum of one element to be eligible.
See above for further details. Contest begins March 5th - and Ends April 9th, 2003 at 23:55PM Renderosity Server Time. (Entries MUST be timestamped by this date/time.). Special Note :Image entry size Must be Exactly [72dpi-RGB-jpg], 640 (width) x 749 (height) pixels. Also include a 100 x 100 pixel thumbnail. Winner MUST supply a larger, 2550 x 2984 pixel [300dpi-CMYK-tif] image for printing Please keep that in mind when creating your image. **If winner does not supply their image to us in proper size (By April 15th, 2003) they may, at the discretion of the magazine team and in response to publishing deadlines, forfeit their right to be published within the magazine. The magazine team may, at that time, choose an alternate cover winner. Please remember: The image submitted for the online contest system will be in either jpg or gif format. However, the winning images will need to be in TIF format at the proper dimension as previously stated. We are also asking that the Cover Contest Winner write a short tutorial on how they created their Winning Image! Everyone except Renderosity Admins and Magazine Staff can participate Very Important Entries must be new artwork not previously posted online, in your gallery, or anywhere else publicly. Entries must not appear online anywhere else during the contest or until the Contest Winners have been Posted. By entering into the contest, the top three Winners are agreeing to not publish their Cover Images (except on their Renderosity Gallery) until 90 days after the Publication of Issue 6. No Nudity (image must be suitable for ALL audiences) Only one image per person allowed (this includes member clones - that is, even if you have multiple accounts, only one entry per PERSON). Post work is allowed. Any software can be used. By uploading your image you are agreeing that this is your original work. Also, by uploading your entry you are certifying that all models used in the image are free from print and publication restrictions (Contest winners will be required to sign a statement verifying this.) The Artist will remain the intellectual property holder of their entry images. A cover template is available showing the current cover layout and cover heading concept. The edges of your image will be faded to black, and the "Renderosity" title will appear on the top with shading so make sure you take this into account when you design your entry! The Magazine Cover Template can be downloaded here. (A note about this template - this will be placed on top of your image BY US when we get the magazine ready for print so that your image will be 'vignetted' on the sides and top by the dark fades. Please make your entry the entire size of the template and just remember that parts of the top and parts of the sides will be "covered" by this darkened 'frame'.)
