Selection: After the
Poetry and
Short
Story winners have been chosen, the remaining entries will be
placed in a random drawing. One entry will be selected at random
and awarded the Bonus Prize.
All entrants agree, by entering this contest, to allow Renderosity
to use their entries for promoting Renderosity Magazine: online, in
print, on CD, or in any other medium used to promote the magazine.
Also, by submitting your entry into this contest, you are granting
Renderosity the right to retain your entry in its archive and to
display the the entry within this community to promote Renderosity
or future contests held as a part, or extension of this community.
Renderosity does not seek ownership of any of the entries! Full
copyrights remain with the individuals submitting their entries
into this contest.
Submission Guidelines
Tell us your tale in
1000 words or less. Ignore the 5
line limit on the box when you upload - that limit is only for
"image contests" Double space between paragraphs. Type directly in
the upload box or copy/paste from Notepad (or similar editing
program). Copy/Pasting from complex word processing programs, such
as MS Word, can change certain characters.
If you use MS
Word: Copy/Paste
from Word
into Notepad,
then Copy/Paste into the contest upload box.
Do not
insert html formating

Before uploading your text: right click on the following
appropriate images and save to your hard drive.
Rename the
image: thumb.jpg or main.jpg When you upload your text - upload
the appropriate images (either Poem or Story).

Contest Rules:
Contest Theme - A Winter's Tale: Only one entry per
member - Enter a short story
or poem depicting a Winter
Tale: Both fiction and nonfiction works accepted
Contest begins Sept 15th - and -
Ends Oct 11th, 2003 at
Noon Renderosity Server Time.
(Entries MUST be timestamped by the contest ending date/time.)
Winners announced: Oct 19th, 2003 in the Magazine Team Forum
All members and moderators can enter: with the exception of
those members listed as judges or current
Magazine
Staff, and Admins.
Very
Important : your "tales" must be
new works , not
previously posted online, in your gallery, or anywhere else
publicly. Entries must not appear online anywhere during the
contest or until the Contest Winners have been posted. By entering
into the contest,
"Poetry and Short Story Winners" agree to not
publish their stories until 90 days after the publication of Issue
8. No sexual or extreme violence - "tales" must be suitable for
all audiences and abide by
Renderosity's
Terms of Service. Only one "tale" [either poem or short story]
per member allowed (this includes member clones - that is, even if
you have multiple accounts, only one entry per PERSON). By
uploading your "tale" you are agreeing that this is your original
work. (Contest winners will be required to sign a statement
verifying this.) Authors will remain the intellectual property
holder of their entries. Judges' decision is final. The Renderosity
