Entry #5

I started thinking about what I wanted to do over Thanksgiving, mulling around basic ideas. I wanted to do something with a film style production and an actual story. My initial ideas were kind of weak until I realized I needed to turn it up a notch. That's when the Action On Ice storyline became solid. I wrote the one page script and started work on the film. Everything is Poser/DS models from just about every marketplace. The tank explosion wreckage is a custom morph and texture set I made, other than that everything else is off the shelf. Once I had the basics I rendered single frame versions of each shot as a pre-viz and started editing the film in Premiere. Then using the edit as a guide I animated all the scenes, did the post work in After Effects CC, and final edit back in Premiere CC. The 3D rendering is all DAZ Studio 4.6. The animation is a mix of Animate2 aniblocks, BVH motion capture, and hand animation. The visual effects were all done in After Effects CC using stock footage. The audio is from various sound effect vendors. The voice overs are all me using a free voice changer VST plugin, RoVee. The soundtrack was created in Sony Acid using loops. I must of spent well over 100 hours putting it all together. The project's various renders and other files total more than 6 gigs, not including any of the stock resources. I had a ton of fun putting this all together and I hope you enjoy it.
