I decided to go for a worst case scenario, what could be more wicked than the apocalypse approaching on the horizon lead by the four horseman. Last man standing is not a great position to be in when this is coming your way but I wanted to leave a brief glimmer of hope, the shotgun could be that last shot at redemption. A variety of software was used. Texture maps and edits done in Photoshop and Maxwell, 3D modelling and edits in Blender & Vue, Figures posed in Poser, Sky IBL created in Vue, Composed and rendered in Maxwell and minor postwork in Photoshop. Overall time spent would be around 40 hours. For the Riders, I was partly inspired by the Lord of the Rings (1978) and an art project I did at school, many moons ago. The redemption idea was inspired by This Is The End, saving others to redeem yourself. General theme was inspired by Highway to Hell but instead of traveling to a destination, it's coming to you.
