Entry #9

Two a.m. on New Years, driving through the wooded community after an extra-long holiday shift, I saw two pairs of eyeshine by the side of the road. By the movement I could tell it was a pair of large dogs, one larger than the other. My best friends family Dobermans had managed to get loose. I stopped the truck and undid my seatbelt, trying to think of the best way to get the dogs into the truck and home. They knew me and loved car rides, so I didnt see any trouble. I put my hand on the door handle and they came closer to the headlights, less than a car length away. They were black wolves. Bump in the Night is 946 words.
