The year's theme: "Something Wicked this Way Comes"
A
mysterious car rounds the corner at the end of your block. As it
makes its way past your house while your sending your children out
for a night of trick or treating it slows its pace to a crawl. Who
is it? What is it? All of your concentration is directed towards
this 'figure' but you just can't seem to make sense of what you're
seeing. You begin to question whether your children should be sent
out in search of candy while this 'thing' is among you. It's going
to be long night. Leave the lights on and hold your loved ones
close for something wicked this way comes!

General Contest Rules
- All members can enter, except contest manager and Admins
- Any software program can be used
- Start: Thursday, September 11, 2014
- End: Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 10:00am [CST] (Renderosity
Server Time)
- Community Voting: October 17-29, 2014, 10:00am
- Winners announced: Friday, October 31, 2014
- Entries MUST be time-stamped by October 16, 2014 10:00am [CST],
or they will not be accepted
- 1 entry per person, per category
- Entries MUST be new work not previously posted online, or anywhere else publicly
- Entries MUST NOT appear online anywhere else during the contest or until the Contest Winners have been Posted
- 1 prize package per person across all Halloween Contest categories
- Winner's Announcement will be posted on the Renderosity FrontPage and this official contest page
Entry Specifications:
- Short Story must be a maximum of 1000 words or
less
- Thumbnail Image: MUST be included

- You may save and upload THIS image in both the Image and
Thumbnail field. Or, upload your own images. (You must upload both
or the system will not accept the entry.)
- Do NOT use html formatting.
- Double space between paragraphs.
- Entries must not have previously won a Renderosity
Contest.
- All stories must comply with Renderosity's Terms of Service
- Use the description field to tell us your tale, noting what
inspired you.
- Include the word count at the end of the story.
- Stories that do not follow the contest rules or our Terms of
Service will be removed.
- Vote soliciting will not be tolerated. Entrants that solicit votes will be disqualified without warning. This includes, but is not limited to, emailing and sitemailing members.
- We recommend not waiting until the end of the contest to upload your entry. It is common for upload and/or approval complications to arise. Please give yourself ample time to correct your entry, if need be. Corrections will NOT be accepted if they are not time stamped by Oct. 16, 10:00am.
Community Voting:
