Shadow Master

Every since the incident at Park High School long ago, many who enter the West wing speak of a presence...a darkness lurking in the shadows. After several reported disappearances, the city was forced to close the entire wing--every outside door and window boarded shut. Since then, none of the locals would talk about it in public. Inquiries from the occasional reporter were met with hushed whispers and stern glares. As the years passed, the rest of the building was renovated. The West wing of Park High remained a relic of a bygone era.

Children would sometimes break into "West Park", as it has come to be known. Some of the explorers plundered a trophy of their misadventures while others sought the local lore. However, done dared to stay after dark. Last year, it was rumored that four students uncovered a clue from the fateful night, a long buried secret about the school and its first Headmaster. The girls were last seen around dusk, walking the hill up to Park High.

The townsfolk searched for them for weeks. One brave soul ventured into old West Park. The only trace of the children he found was one of their phones. On it was one final image...


I've always been fascinated with local folklore of haunts and abandoned buildings--the long forgotten secrets burned...in waiting.

I'm not sure how long the final renders took. My harddrive died while working on it and had to run from my backups during post. If I had to guess, ~3 hours render, 5-6 hours postwork.
