The witch trials era lasted less than a year. The first arrests were made on March 1, 1692 and the final hanging day was September 22, 1692. The Court of Oyer and Terminer was dissolved in October of 1692. I chose this part of history for a few reasons, yet the main one is the idea that even then people were quick to judge others without knowning the truth and going on winds of gossip of children rather than fact. Sad how in time nothing ever really changes.
