Fractals F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 13 3:03 pm)
The aim of the Fractal Forum is to provide a source of help in a 'community' sense. It is also a place to get to know other fractal artists, and share in the experience of creation.
As this is a community, some off-topic postings are welcome. This would include special announcements, celebrations, and general greetings. Anything going above and beyond this, may be grounds for moving the thread to another forum, or deletion as necessary, to maintain the 'focus' of the forum.
Everyone is invited, and encouraged, to participate in forum discussions. If help or advice is needed with a program, the gallery, etc.,or just a general 'how do you...' type of question, please post it. The only dumb questions are the ones that aren't asked :)
The Fractal GalleryFractals of all types and genres are welcome here. This includes both 'pure' and post-processed fractal images.
Images where non-fractal imagery (Poser, 3D, tubes, photos, etc.) are the main focus, may be better suited in the "Mixed Medium" Gallery here on Renderosity.
In the case of 3D objects: Fractal programs capable of 3D output are fine. However renderings from strict 3D programs, such as Bryce, have their own respective galleries, or they may be suited in "Mixed Medium" if the main part of a composition.
While these are simply guidelines, extreme cases may warrant an IM asking the artist if another gallery may be a better choice.
Last wordsAbove all, please remember the Renderosity Terms Of Service when posting in the forum and gallery, and also when commenting on images. Hurtful words and personal attacks help nobody.
This FAQ will be updated as necessary. All suggestions and questions are welcome.
We thank you for taking the time to look this over. Have fun, and happy Fractaling!
