Has anyone had trouble out of Vue4 after (a)patching to 4.11 or (b) patching P5 to SR2.1? Every time I try and start Vue now, it drops me to the starting tutorial frame, then drops me back to the desktop. Any ideas besides a reinstall....?

oh boy....I have not installed 4.11 yet for fear this would happen....I will look around and see if anyone else has had that problem. Sharen

What just recently happened to me is my Vue buttons got lost of overwritten somehow. Long story short is I reinstalled it and the bug went away. Could be the opengl settings but if you can't get it started to look at then then it's kind of pointless to try to fix it that way.

Some friends of mine had the same problem you are describing. My problem once I installed the update was that my preview window would not preview. I have uninstalled the update, downloaded the 9 meg full update and installed it and now it is working okay. :)

Sigh. It's sounding like reinstall time... I've had OpenGL turned off since getting bit by the latest Nvidia drivers. Oh well. Now to find all the installation stuff for the add on vegetation, all the freebie stuff I've gathered, archiving the scenes in progress.... :

You don't have to go crasy. If you unistall it and reinstall it all the stuff in the default folders that you added will remain. You just got to go threw and add the extra folders you added again, I just did all of that. The only thing is the extra veg. Would take me a while to find all of that. Like don't delete everything just uninstall the program and reinstall. It will leave all the extra files alone.

Hm. I'm running 4.11, on a machine with XP home and I've not encountered that (I think it worked on my other machine, windows 2000 on a much slower processor before this new one came ... Yay) I was having Open GL problems, due to a flawed MS Updated driver (went to vender web site and got a partially new one (had to tell windows to replace a few newer files) and now I am quite a bit happier (was frustrated to buy a machine mostly for vue, only to have to fall back to the non-GL interface) I'll tell you one thing, XP ain't quite what you might think by following the press. It's only moderately more stable than 98 and performs considerably worse than 2k (I'm guessing all of the silly bloat crap that I have yet to find out how to get rid of.) I was hoping to splurge on a mac, but alas, just couldn't afford anything that sounded good to me :( I really want to play with OS-X! eric
