Subject: I need motivation!

scupper ( ) posted Fri, 13 December 2002 at 11:26 AM · edited Thu, 09 January 2025 at 8:32 AM

I need some impetus to actually complete some Poser projects. Any suggestions? Depending on the results, I'll either free stuff em or broker em. Whatever I end up making, I'll give it to the person who suggested it for free. Here are some things I can certainly do: Fantasy Creatures particularly if I have some good reference images. I've got Ajax's EasyPose wizard, so tentacles/tails/what have you aren't a problem. Just don't ask for Kali or something with a million fiddling fingers. Props - Just point me to a picture. I'm not going to try hair, though. Morph Targets - Don, Judy? Vicky and Mike are pretty much covered. I have a pretty good library going of DAZ stuff, so if you have something from there you need morphed, I might be able to do it. Clothes - Hell, I'll give it a shot. P5 or P4, I don't really think it makes much of a difference. Look at it this way: If I can't do it, or if it ends up sucking, you lose nothing but the time it takes to type what you want.

Someone was asking for Dragon boobs the other day.

scupper ( ) posted Fri, 13 December 2002 at 12:09 PM

Dragon ... Boobs. Um. Well, I suppose I could give it a shot...

ockham ( ) posted Fri, 13 December 2002 at 12:41 PM

You might try this: watch the forum for requests for props. At least one such request shows up every day. If the request has been here for 30 seconds, and Little Dragon hasn't yet responded with a complete list of all available versions, you can be sure that the desired model doesn't exist, and the requester will appreciate you for making one. Well, maybe the threshold is a -bit- longer than 30 seconds, but not much...

Fantasy/Mythological monsters... stuff outta the movies and D&D... Nekkid Vickies with Swords need icky stuff to fight ya know... multi-segmented lizardy things with lotsa legs and teeth, ropers (big stalagmite look things with a big mouth, big eyes and many ropey tentacles to haul you in with), bird monsters (harpies, aarakocra (benign birdmen), 3-headed bird creature ala The Adventures of Baron Munchusen (yeah, spelling I know)(don't see many models of birds let alone bird people/monster things), giant snarling dire wolves... Some good quasi-medieval clothing... poets shirts, things with lacing and no buttons in sight... poofy pants that tuck into those morphing boots I have, bodices, vests... hats!!!! muffin caps, biggins, cavalier style with a flouncy feather, tie-on leather caps... Some sort of face morph for Vicky that doesn't leave her looking like some sort of collagen-injected, vacant staring cross-eyed centerfold full of silicon and hot air. A good, toned yet slender body morph for Mike that looks like he's cut but no bulky (and not looking like he's going slightly to softness as he does in his default mode). Props for adventurers (not weapons or armor)... bottles, vials, flasks, jars, little boxes, sacks and bags, small chests, morphable leather thongs (not bikinis), eating knife, wooden utensils (fork, mug/cup, bowl), iron pot, fire grate, sleeping roll (rolled and flat), a backpack/rucksack that looks like it's seen the ends of the earth and back with dangly bits and pockets and a good strap, ect. These are just a few of my wants :) Pick one, all or none. Just know I appreciate you looking.

Judy still needs a pair of stockings or pantyhose or both, she does, she told me. She said "it's not fair! P4 woman's had some for ages and victoria, why can't I have some as well?" P5 judy said to me, "I like to look sexy as well! she said. "Well" I said, "I'll see what I can do", "ask scupper" she said, "he can do it", "well I don't know" I said, "he's very busy", "Just tell him I'll love him forever if he does" she said. anyway just passing the message on :) MARVLIN

A big puffy turban and or Lawernce of Arabia Djaballah head piece would be super. I have a very nice medium sized turban from Cooler, [and thank you Cooler I'm grateful for it] I have the ladies turbans from MacClean to put it around but there are Three Wise Men, you know. www.kunstland.com/ Lawrence.jpg www.fc-net.fr/jeannin/ turban.jpg Her whole page was great for strange male headgear http://www.fc-net.fr/jeannin/homme.html Emily

More morphs for the millie girls/boys. Its difficult to make them look different, and yet still human.

Davo's already done a zillion fantasy/nightmare critters--but I guess there's always room for more. I'm always in the market for odd animals and general weirdness--how about an armadillo? An aardvark? A fruit bat? A lemur? Retro sci fi props--cool UFOs, Buck Rodgers/Bugs Bunny rockets, ray guns, etc., odd clothing items, weird hats, funky architecture, religious items--something, anything other than whatever it is that everyone else is doing. And thanks for asking!

shogakusha ( ) posted Fri, 13 December 2002 at 1:35 PM

If you want to try morphs, how about morphs for the more popular hairs that would fit them under hats. Kozaburo stuff, Maya's hairs are probably the most popular (and free!) I made a request a long time ago from PoserWorld for a Masamune Shirow style Landmate or powered armor suit like Heavy Gear. You know, not those 60 foot transformers, but only 9 to 10 feet where your own limbs might fit within the arms and legs of the armor. Just my little requests. Thanks for your bold offer!

Scifi Clothes for Don & Judy... Pretty Please...? :)

I've been dying for a decent sf EVA helmet and backpack with (and this is key!) flexible hoses connecting the 2. Prefer conforming objects or smartprops.

Queri, I am working on the 3 Wisemen Crowns/turbans and their treasure boxes right now for my Christmas gift to the community. Diane

well, one thing I have not been able to find is a posable parrot. I bought one based on the daz eagle but cant seem to get the wings correct as too long and not easily adjustable. Created the one on my site with 3dfx which I dont even have anymore!! (wont work on my xp) If interested.... and feeling rambunctious - i know of no sites that have a fully posable parrot (mimic compatible would be cool 2).

Little_Dragon ( ) posted Fri, 13 December 2002 at 6:30 PM

Lyne has Poser parrots, macaws, and parakeets over at Vista Internet Products. I don't think the wings are poseable, however, and I doubt that they're Mimic-ready.

cruzan ( ) posted Fri, 13 December 2002 at 6:35 PM

ty Little Dragon, that is the one that I bought and tried to mold to my 3dfx logo parrot..... Needless to say, I failed! But would definitely pay for a truely mobile/talkative one. Have been contemplated replaceing the wings with songbird but due to P5 am setting up new computer with mass mem and of course having to reinstall.... Ah, well, my 1.8g lasted almost 2 years - guess I should be happy!?! again thank you

niles has been crying for clothes for the milkids, especially the milboy. I wouldn't mind having clothes for them as well.

PapaBlueMarlin ( ) posted Fri, 13 December 2002 at 10:44 PM

Honestly as of late people have been going crazy of figures like the house mouse so an animal like a dog would be a really good model. DAZ is planning to do a cat so it would be interesting to have an alternate pet :)

scupper ( ) posted Sat, 14 December 2002 at 12:49 AM

Heyas. Very good suggestions and I am playing around with a few at the moment! Sorry to the Mil Kids fans, but I don't own em, so it would be hard to model for them.

Crasher ( ) posted Sat, 14 December 2002 at 2:15 AM

I'd personally love to see a well done basilisk.

mabfairyqueen ( ) posted Sat, 14 December 2002 at 5:05 AM

I want a quality Elfquest style Elf, both male and female. I love Elfquest.

Cookienose ( ) posted Sat, 14 December 2002 at 8:25 AM

I would love anything recreated from "The Princess Bride" - a great Dread Pirate Roberts outfit (I could see many uses for it)or any of Buttercup's dresses would be fabulous. :)

rdf ( ) posted Mon, 16 December 2002 at 2:46 AM

Attached Link: my fantasy novel for sale if anyone's into that sort of thing.

As a basilisk-like character appears in my novel, I'd like to add a 2nd vote for it!! (i.e., so I can more easily do an illustration based on that scene)
