I am sure this has been asked and answered a lot. But is there a source for texture maps for the standard characters that came with Poser 4 that are larger than 512x512? Just enlarging the ones that come with it does not work well as they are hard to see. I want to create some new textures for myself. Thanks

I'm going to make a big leap and guess that what you are actually looking for are some hirez UV layout 'templates' for the P4 figures. If so, you can create your own, for any obj file, using Steve Cox's free "UVMapper Classic" app. Just a couple of clicks. www.uvmapper.com Also search FreeStuff here for "seam" guides.

I have uvmapper. So I should ask where are the .obj files can use to create my own maps?

MikenTexas,Do a search in free stuff for SnowSultan.He has made several maps for P4 fiqures,that should do the job.Also,go to the sites on the Net. that offer free filters for Photoshop,PSP,etc.Download the filter called"eliminate white".In your image editing program....promote your template to a layer,click on the elimate white filter,and you will now have just a black outline with transparent background.Very easy to see and work with.Hope that helps..SWAMP

The .obj files are in the folders in Poser's RuntimeGeometries directory. To find out what .obj file a figure's .cr2 file is looking for, open the .cr2 in a text editor and the .obj reference is right near the top. But, for the P4 nude male, its: "RuntimeGeometriesP4NudeManblNudeMan_Gen.obj" For the P4 nude fem: "RuntimeGeometriesP4NudeWomanP4NudeWom.obj" !!MAKE BACKUPS WHEN FOOLING WITH GEOMETRY FILES!! Simply making a template image does not affect the .obj file, but until you know your way around, better safe than sorry.
