Hi folks I have been using mike 1 for a long time, but wanted to play around with some of the new morphs available for mike 2. So I bought the low res version of him, which as far as I understood would be able to work with all the morphs the full mike 2 could use...but this does not seem to be the case. When I applied the "Hamlet" morph to this figure...all that changed was the ears (as in the picture). Am I doing something wrong, or did I just throw away $20 on something that I cannot use? ;(

I don't quite understand either. My understanding of the lo-rez version was that it was mostly in the body where the vertices had been simplified and that that was out of deference to the face morphs that people supplied with their textures. But maybe there's something unique about the Hamlet morph? Have you tried any of the other M morphs to see if they work or not?

I tried it on another one too, and it did the same thing :( I also tried to load some other morph targets i have...and it tells me it has the wrong number of vertices. So that would be the problem then...it does not accept the lower poly count?

Try using Morph Manger to transfer the morphs

But Hamlet is for Mike 2 and I just tried him on my Mike 2 LoRes and he works just fine. Ratteler is correct Rawnrr, if it's just dials that make up a character he will work for both hi and lo versions. Are you sure you have the Mike 2 Lo Res and not a Mike 1 Lo Res? I also find the Lo Res figures very useful, with a great texture you can't tell the difference. Hamlet here is using PoserStyle's Mendoza.

well....it is supposed to be mike 2 low res....here is what the reciept says: ps_pe035 Michael 2.0 Reduced Resolution Figure OS: Windows Hamlet was indeed made on Mike 2 (though the full version) Though I do notice your hamlet does not have the pig snout going either

The part that really sux is that the snout works on mike one...but the ears dont....and the ears work on mike 2low, but the snout dont...geez :p

Mystery solved....DAZ responded and gave me this info: "Lo res Michael 2: Contains all Morph Targets included in Michael 2.0 (for Complete List of Morph Targets see the Michael 2.0 Product Page) Compatible with Clothing, Accessories, and Textures for Michael and Clothing and Accessories for the P4 Man . "Custom" morphs usually come in three varieties. Morph Poses, those files that merely change the dials of the figure, and True Custom Morph Targets, either CR2 or MT files. Morph Poses should work properly with the Lo-res Figure. However, custom morph targets for Michael 2 would be based off of the full-res Michael 2 geometry, and not compatible." So I guess i will have to go buy the full one now. Eh...I was gonna do it sooner or later anyway.
