Just busted open Carrara, in the tutorial it says to go to the browser and open the Scene catagory. I don't have that catagory in my browser, and when I go to the regular reference guide I can't find out why I don't have Scene. I have Objects, Modifiers, Effects, Shaders, Constraints and Artwork. Did I set the program up incorrectly? Sigh.....

Hope that this helps. SceneWindow.jpg Mark

I am not at home currently with Carrera, but if it's the same tutorial, I think it might be the scene file they mean. It's in the tutorial folder. It's called scene.car and has sone objects to work with in the tutorial.<;)>

Sigh, it says go to file>new, click the handle to the left of the Carrara window and drag Browser tray open. Click the Scene catagory. Click File button and choose Add Folder. Maybe they sent me the wrong program, because I'm not finding Scene in the left pullout. Am I just too old? lol They say to locate the TutorialBasics folder and click ok. Says to go to the Reference, but I'm not finding anything in there either. Arrghh! Usually I'm really intuitive about these programs, see what happens when I try to RTFM? lol

No, maybe just a typo. I had the same problem. Maybe try object category and add folder from tut. With spellcheck, automated layout, etc. I think very few take time to actually proofread anymore, and the ones that do don't know what they are reading anyhow.

Thanks for your patience and help, reading through the regular manual now and I'm going to read the faq from metacreations web site to see if this problem has been addressed there. =)

The mention of using Photoshop Plugins in the manual, as told to me buy Antione C. (Meta Senior Prog)is an error, I belive that was how he put it.

I was teasing, the only thing I saw was in the index and they were talking about loading a .psd pic into Carrara, nothing about any plugins.
