Subject: Moving MAT files to a sub-directory

Is there any reason why I should not move all the MAT files in my Pose Directory to a sub-directory named MAT? Every file I seem to add to my system puts more MATs into the poses directory and now it is so bad I can't find any poses without a long search? I thought I'd check before I mess up my system Thanks

It depends which version of poser you're using, Poser4 & propack don't handle sub folders below the first level. "runtimelibrariesposemat pose files" would work but if you added another level to that poser won't see them at all. Poser5 can handle a greater number of levels, so far I've added "runtimelibrariesposedazmikemats" & it works fine.

You can save MATs in the Camera or Face Libraries. Simply change the extension from .pz2 to .cm2 (cameras) or .fc2 (faces). My Pose Library was jam-packed until I switched half of the MATs to Cameras. There a terrific free utility called Renamer that i use for all this stuff. It can number files or make any name change you want to single files, folders and sub-folders. Totally safe. It even gives you a preview if you want. Get it at the link above. mac
