THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Renderosity not working from South Korea...

I live in Seoul during the holidays and I've been having problems connecting to r'osity for the past couple of days. Basically it wouldn't budge, either giving a 404 or sending me to one of those generalized .com addresses with news quotes and stuff like that (ignore that one, it's probably my spyware takign control of my computer). Anyway... the Korean gov't has this kickback reflex of banning sites such as Geocities for two years for apparently hosting pro-north websites. Just wondering what the hell it has with renderosity, since it doesn't work, and I had to go through a Canadian proxy to get here. drac

I've noticed some difficulty getting in at times lately. Probably a just a server problem.

I've been blocked for an hour or two some weeks ago. But now it works fine again. I don't know what the problem was.

I'm a long way from South Korea and I'm having occasional problems getting to Renderosity. Does AgentS or clay know if we have been having periodic shutdowns of Renderosity to do some repairs or upgrades or something? It was out when I tried to get on last night but was OK this morning. And some of the comments on my art and in the forum that I should have received an e-mail on never made it, even though some that came later did. Just wondering.

This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.

There was a post by AS yesterday that the server would be down for an hour, so that sort of think might explain some of the connection problems. South Korea, could they be objecting to the nudity or any bad language here? Lin
