Subject: SS Frenz Mega Hair Pak for Regular Vicki

a_super_hero ( ) posted Wed, 18 December 2002 at 9:58 PM · edited Sat, 23 November 2024 at 2:34 AM

Hello, I am wondering how the new Frenz Hair is for regular Vicki and fitting on them and not the Preteen. I like the idea of two ponytails and curious how good it looks on regular Vicki. Thanks, Super

Please excuse the quick and dirty sensor and image, but we are working on an expansion for the SS Frenz Mega Hair Pack to make it fit all those pictured as well as Mil Baby, Judy, and P4 Fem...This image is each hair loaded in, the fit pose applied, and then parented to the figure...It does conform to preteen but can be used with all the ladies as a parented figure...

Thanks, I am thinking the hair might be good for a Dynagirl and a few other superheroines. I am wondering when the expansion be ready? How much will it cost (perhaps free update) and if I should buy it now (with the 30% discount) or wait till the expansion comes out?

What about Aiko? This kinda annoys me. They're made for only one figure and you have to pay extra to fit others? I think it's a bit expensive to begin with.

Spit - it's much less pricey than buying Anton's complete Vicky's Changing Ponytail set (unless you're a Platiunum Club member - which didn't exist when I bought that hair G). And I love Anton's hair.
I think as a functional hair, this is a decent price - it appears to utilize geo-swapping, which is always cool. And they didn't say that you had to pay for the expansion pak - you never know, the expansion pack may be a free add-on/update to the pak - think positively. ;)

A bit off topic, sorry, but what texture is used on the charactes? Looks like a very good allround tex.

LadyJaiven ( ) posted Thu, 19 December 2002 at 12:44 PM

The thumbnail for the hair product has a P on it for Platinum Club, yet its not in the club.. Is that an accident somewhere ? Cause I am thinking of getting the hair and am in the PC, but don't wanna pay full price for it, then see that its 1.99 in an hour.

RHaseltine ( ) posted Thu, 19 December 2002 at 1:02 PM

Just now the hair had no "P" but the clothing did, neither said Platinum Club Price $1.99 however.

RHaseltine ( ) posted Thu, 19 December 2002 at 1:03 PM

Ah - the clothing is in the P Club as two items.

a_super_hero: No promises on exact release date of expansion, but prior to New Year would be a some what safe bet. Not yet sure on pricing, if it cost anything at all it will be reasonable and imho worth it. Spit: Sorry to annoy you, but when I started work on the pack I had no intention of doing "another" Vicki product. Everything was intended for the Preteen Girl. Victoria and the other characters were after thoughts. I'll see what we can do about adding Aiko to the list. As far as it being Expensive, I did shop around before deciding on a price, most hair models sell for well over $10 each and only fit one character. DAZ has always offered a 30day satisfaction guaranteed on products sold through them, just incase you buy it and realize later that it's to complicated for you to use the way you wish to use it... Lucy_Fur: Thanks for the vote of confidence in your response to Spit. No geom swapping in the hair though, just 4 separate conforming figures, I could have done them many different ways, but decided that this would be the most user friendly way to go. Zrincx: V3 Texture used on V3, V2, and Preschooler, Stephanie Free Low Res used on Stephanie. LadyJaiven: Hair was mis-marked with a P when the 30% sale portion of thumbnail was added...Looks like they got it fixed though and in record time. RHaseltine: Hehe answered yourself before you gave me a chance to :)

I really like the hair! And thanks for making items for the PtGirl...she's my favourite character to use :-)

Spit ( ) posted Thu, 19 December 2002 at 10:34 PM

Well, actually I didn't get the Changing Pony tail for the same reason. As a package with four separate hairs it's not that expensive, just would be easier on some of us if these were broken out separately so we could get one or two now then maybe the others later. Nothing against the hair itself which looks like it would be one of my favorites ever for what I do. I love your work, always have.

steveshanks ( ) posted Sat, 18 January 2003 at 6:39 AM

How do you get the hair in the expansion pack to fit, when i conform and the use the pose its only half way up the head....sure its something i'm doing wrong LOL but can't find a way..Steve

Spit ( ) posted Sat, 18 January 2003 at 6:48 AM

Check the MAT files, Steve. Just a click does the fitting.

Spit ( ) posted Sat, 18 January 2003 at 6:55 AM

OOps. Nevermind me. Just woke up. Sigh. I see you mentioned you clicked the pose file. I don't think I conform. Usually a little Y-trans then parent.

Spit ( ) posted Sat, 18 January 2003 at 6:57 AM

Y-trans and parent after the click on the pose file. Sheesh. COFFFEEEEEE please! Why do I come here when I'm not awake. LOL
